Bring your to-do list in contact with reality.

Timepico does not have priority labels for tasks like P1, P2 or P3. This is intentional.

The timeblocking philosophy of achievable productivity is to have time serve as a forcing function to constrain what gets prioritized, as you drop tasks onto your calendar. If it’s on the day’s plan, it’s a P1.

Do what you must, but only what you can — realistically.

Munawar Shah

Hi! I’m Munawar.

I’ve used every productivity system under the sun. From trying to Get Things Done (GTD), to eating frogs early in the morning, bunging tasks across kanban boards, and dissecting them in prioritization matrices.

Most of the time, I end up deciding to “Do It Tomorrow.” That isn’t a failure in and of itself, because tons of stuff does get done. My problem is an incredible optimism that I will crush a mountain of work from my backlog, brought into sharp perspective by things simply taking time to do.

If you’re like me, at some point you too might have tried timeblocking.

It’s the one system that lets me go to bed satisfied with a day’s worth of progress.

Unfortunately, every time I try it, I hit a snag - a day doesn't go to plan, something comes out of left field and suddenly I am behind and scrambling. That burns me out. Moving timeblocks forward is an option but most tools don't make it easy - it's a slog.

This is why I am making timepico. Changing plans should be as easy as speaking into your phone:“I’m running 20 minutes late, but I still need the presentation ready for my meeting,” and get a revised plan that takes both into account: squeeze some of the flexible work blocks, while keeping fixed meetings static.
